What is it about islands that excites us so?

A few years ago, I wrote, produced and directed a multi-episode television series called, “Island Escapes“, and I still can’t answer that question. Each one of the featured islands – Crete, Bermuda, Molokai, New Caledonia, Fiji, and others – were amazing destinations; places where we simply didn’t have enough time to sink in to the culture and enjoy ourselves to the fullest. TV production can be a harsh mistress, and for this show she used restraints and a whip.

Over time I will be posting more information about the islands of my life – ‘escapes’ and otherwise. For now, ‘drop down’ and see what’s here. Enjoy!
