Travel is my main avocation, and frequently a vocation, though nowhere nearly enough – still working on that one. These programs have helped feed my ‘addiction’ greatly. Each one has allowed me to see the world and helped me share my stories with a global audience. Island Escapes is just what the title says – ten episodes devoted to the most desirable island getaways you can imagine. I was asked to come aboard the travel series Word Travels as post-production director. If ever there was a vicarious travel experience, this was it. Sex! The Travel Show began as a bit of a joke during another broadcaster pitch session. Lo and behold, they funded a pilot, and secured the knowledgeable, not to mention stunning, Gisel Della Chiara, as host. It was produced – double tracked, as they say – in both English and Spanish. Alas, ’twas not to be. The imagination continues to reel at the possibilities!
