I wanted to do two things. I wanted to combine two of my lifetime loves, food and travel, into one show, and I wanted to do all the cooking on location with no studio, recipe-based segments. Southeast Asia was an obvious choice of location for me, and it followed that Asian food would be the cuisine. Six months, 26 half-hour episodes and a one-hour special later, Entrée To Asia debuted on PBS. A year later I had two Emmy® nominations. Tasty indeed!
