And none too soon! After much hand-ringing and decision making, peppered with a great deal of procrastination, I am finally launching my personal web journal.
Welcome to ‘A Change of Venue’.
So named, because I decided long ago that I never seem to be satisfied with where I am at any given moment. This isn’t some ‘grass-is-always-greener-on-the-other-side’ kind of phobia, but a distinct philosophy I’ve developed over many years. The world is my muse, I suppose you could say, and one day I just gave in to it and accepted the fact that I have to move.
If you spend any time on this site at all you will soon realize that a common theme among the posts will be travel and adventure, two aspects of my life that in the past five or six years have become my life.
All the ‘good stuff’ will reside on the right hand side of these pages - the Posts and Pages categorized by interest and subject matter. Those will all change on a daily (okay - semi daily) basis depending on my mood.
Sometimes political, sometimes informative, sometimes introspective, sometimes funny… and sometimes boring as hell to anyone but me probably! C’est la vie.
And so off we go. The door is open. Browse to your heart’s content. Stay as long as you like. But for God’s sake light the candle in the bathroom if you use it - that’s what the matches are for!
