J.J. Abrams is a pretty interesting guy, and nothing if not prolific. He’s responsible for some of the more edgy, thought-provoking and mysterious TV shows and movies of the past 10 years. Projects such as Alias, Lost, Cloverfield and the recent re-imagining of the grand daddy of all SciFi brands, Star Trek.

What is it about ‘mystery’ that he’s drawn to, and why does it permeate all his projects. His answer, in this short video, is not only fascinating, but I would suggest inspirational as well, to those of us engaged in similar creative pursuits.
